CPR/First Aid Classes
"Training"



CPR Classes
Presented to American Heart Association standards

Heartsaver: 4 hours
Class includes a lecture and hands-on skills performed for adult 1 rescuer CPR and management of obstructed airway.

Heartsaver Plus: 4 hours
Class includes a lecture and hands on skills performed for adult 1 rescuer CPR and management of obstructed airway and a written test.

Pediatric BLS: 7 hours
Class includes a lecture and hands on skills performed for child, infant CPR, management of obstructed airway and child safety.  This course meets the Texas Department of Health guidelines for childcare centers.

Heartsaver/Pediatric: 7 hours
Class includes a lecture and hands-on skills performed for adult, child, and infant CPR and management of obstructed airway.  The course meets the Texas Department of Health guidelines for childcare centers.

Healthcare Provider: 8 hours
Class includes a lecture and hands-on skills performed for one and two rescuer adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, management of obstructed airway, and use of a barrier facemask.  This class is required for healthcare professionals.  A written test is given.

Healthcare Provider Renewal: 4 hours
Participants must be proficient in all the Healthcare Provider skills before entering the class.  Class includes a CPR update, skills and a written test.

 


Automated External Defibrillator (AED Classes):

Heartsaver AED: 4 hours
Class includes a video, hands-on skills in adult CPR, airway management and practice with an AED trainer and a written test.



First Aid Classes
Presented to National Safety Council standards

Basic First Aid: 6 hours
First Aid techniques taught include injury assessment, treatment for shock, bleeding and wound management, bandaging and splinting, poisoning treatment, burn care, and medical emergencies.  This course meets the Texas Department of Health guidelines for childcare centers.  A written test will be given.

Pediatric CPR/First Aid: 8 hours
Class includes a lecture, hands-on skills performed for one rescuer child and infant CPR, management of obstructed airway and a written test.



Emergency Medical Classes
Presented to Texas Department of Health standards

Emergency Care Attendant: 64 hours
This course is designed to instruct a student to the level of First Responder, who serves as a vital link in the chain of the health care team.  This curriculum includes skills necessary for the individual to provide emergency medical care with a limited amount of equipment.  Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to recognize the seriousness of the patient's condition, administer appropriate emergency medical care, and will be eligible to test for certification with the Texas Department of Health.



Course prices are available by quotation.  All prices are based on a per-student basis.  We conduct classes, at your facility for a minimum of six students for CPR and First Aid and ten students for ECA classes.  Pre-registration and tuition is due two days before the class.  For more information and class availability, please contact EMS NETwork at your earliest convenience.
